In the neighborhood of the Lohkaut Gate there is the "old tower" on the village side of the railroad line.
The late Gothic corner tower was part of the village fortification from the 13th and 14th centuries. In the 15th century it was improved in terms of defense. The basement served as a local prison until the 18th century. The battlements could only be reached by ladders and landings. A groined vault closed off the battlement at the top.
