Upon first entering, the Christ Church, built in 1962, immediately reveals itself only to a few people. It has none of the grandeur of Gothic cathedrals, but it also lacks the cozy security of old village churches. Even more, it misses the colorful splendor of Baroque sacral buildings.

In its focus on the elementary, the Christ Church seems almost provocative. Only the organ from the renowned workshop Förster & Nicolaus and the modern altar cross by Caroline Schwarz adorn the church.
