The Fountain Park Bad Breisig, located directly opposite the Spa Park, is a small park area that also serves as an exhibition space for the historic fountains displayed there. The park area also features the Mertés Mausoleum with its distinctive glass dome.
In 1911/12, the Cologne hat manufacturer Albert Mertés built the mausoleum at the old cemetery of Breisig (1805 - 1966) in memory of his prematurely deceased daughter Mimi Mertés. The four sarcophagi are carved from tuff stone. Albert Mertés passed away in Berlin in 1924. The final resting place in the mausoleum is for his daughter Mimi, Altert Mertés, his son Albert Peter, and his grandson Walter.
