Park in den Rheinanlagen
Kranenstraße, 55422 Bacharach
The park established in 1903 in the Rhine facilities is designed following the model of English landscape parks. Sculptures, a children's playground, and exercise equipment complement the expansive green space along the banks of the Rhine.
The park along the riverbank has existed since 1903. Its path system resembles the style of English landscape parks. The design was based on the "Geisenheim Plan" from the Royal-Prussian School of Horticulture in Geisenheim. Initially, the park was slightly smaller than it is today, covering 17,000 square meters. In the past decade, the Rhine facilities along the river have been extended north and south and enhanced with sculptures. A children's playground and exercise equipment for adults increase the recreational value.
