Viewing point 'Reutersley'
Koblenzer Straße 39, 53498 Bad Breisig
Viewpoint in Bad Breisig.
The Reutersley is a prominent viewpoint on a striking rock ("Ley", regional for rock/slate) high above the Rhine Valley. The landscape is characterized by bizarrely shaped oaks, giving it an almost alpine feel, even though it is located in the middle of the Middle Rhine Valley.
From here, a wide panoramic view opens up over the lower Middle Rhine Valley: upstream to the Hammersteiner Burgberg and the Island of Hammersteiner Werth, as well as over the village of Brohl-Lützing on the riverbank, extending far into the Westerwald towards Rheinbrohl. Downstream, the view reaches Rheineck Castle and Bad Hönningen with Arenfels Castle, all the way to the Seven Mountains. A bench invites visitors to pause and enjoy the expansive Rhine panorama when the view is clear.
