On Thursday, September 10, 2026, the traditional wine market in Oberwesel opens its gates. This time-honored festival celebrating wine promotes fine wines from the region. Winemakers and wine witches invite visitors from near and far to enjoy the lively atmosphere of the wine market in Oberwesel's market square. There will be plenty of food and drink available.
The program promises excellent entertainment for visitors and guests. Concerts by various associations from Oberwesel and the surrounding area will provide musical enjoyment starting in the afternoon.

The wine market, along with Rhine in Flames, is the main attraction in the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley!

In the historic ambiance of the market square, winemakers have set up their wine booths, giving the festival its special character. Take advantage of the selection of over 150 different exquisite varieties from the Middle Rhine and taste and enjoy the finest wines that our winemakers have to offer. A colorful and varied supporting program on all days guarantees entertaining and lively atmospheres. A special highlight is also the traditional grand parade on wine market Sunday. The winemakers come up with a special theme each year. Preparations begin long in advance with hammering and building to implement the sketches. On Sunday at 3 PM, the results of these efforts will be showcased in the grand parade.
