Winemaking is for us the symbiosis of nature, science, and craftsmanship. That’s why we nurture and preserve this tradition in a nature-friendly, quality-conscious, and sustainable manner. However, we also want to give new impulses, so we are re-establishing old grape varieties and placing value on contemporary, environmentally friendly vine training.

If the vines are doing well - we are doing well. Appreciation and mindfulness in managing our vineyards are pillars of the operation. That’s why we have committed ourselves to manual labor. With targeted yield limitation and gentle care of the vines, which are up to 45 years old, we ensure the top-quality of our grapes. In the young vineyards, sowing wild herbs, flowers, and grasses creates new habitats for bees, bumblebees, and other insects. This helps keep certain vine pests away and thereby minimizes the use of plant strengthening agents.

Therefore, we understand the winery Meine Freiheit as a tribute to the importance of wine, our history, and culture - hand in hand with nature. It is wonderful to see how the ideas are now bearing fruit and our work delights a loyal, steadily growing customer base.
