For 1000 years, a church has existed on the Apollinaris Mountain, for about 900 years the monastery, and for more than 700 years, the holy Apollinaris has been venerated at this location.
The Apollinaris Church, one of the most significant buildings in our region, is to be presented in all its beauty and splendor to interested visitors. Among other things, the 69 frescoes by the Nazarenes with a total of 580 figures can be seen!
The aim of the visit is not to list historical facts and dates, but to convey a deeper impression, coupled with knowledge about this special place.
The tour can only provide a small insight into the diverse themes of architecture, religion, and art of this church.
The church, including the crypt and of course the garden with the magnificent view over the Rhine Valley, will be visited.
